Job summary

Kier Group in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team. The role is based in Harpenden with hybrid working options and a 45-hour work week.

You will contribute to the commercial management of our Water Framework project during construction, mentoring junior colleagues. You will work within a collaborative team, delivering procurement compliance, valuations, cost reporting, and contract administration, while driving margin improvements and

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews.
• Manage valuations, project cashflows, and prepare monthly cost reports with trend analysis.
• Provide legal and contractual advice on orders, changes, and subcontractor administration.
• Drive commercial initiatives and produce margin improvement plans to maximise opportunities.
• Lead and mentor junior staff to ensure targets and deadlines are met.

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of our Water Framework project during the construction phase. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll have the opportunity to contribute your expertise whilst supporting and developing junior colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on exciting infrastructure projects whilst enjoying flexible, hybrid working arrangements.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes. Your day to day will include:

• Ensuring compliance with procurement strategies, including managing subcontract inquiries and tender reviews
• Managing valuations, project cashflows, and preparing monthly cost reports with trend analysis
