Job summary

Kier Group in Southampton is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our regional Construction team. You will help deliver commercial excellence on multi-million pound projects in the Southern region, offering a real impact within a supportive team.

Your day-to-day includes forecasting, monthly cost/value reports, and ensuring timely certification and payment of subcontractors. You will work to meet KPIs and contribute to project success.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence is required.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrable experience in a similar senior quantity surveying role.
• Proficient IT skills, with MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial input including forecasts to the management team.
• Prepare monthly cost and value reports, review results and trends with the contract team.
• Produce commercial reports and analyze trends with the wider team.
• Manage measurement of works and agree outcomes with clients and subcontractors.
• Oversee certification and payment of subcontractor accounts, monitoring against forecasts.

We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our regional Construction team based in Southampton.

Location: Southampton
Hours: Full Time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering commercial excellence on exciting multi-million pound projects in our Southern region. This is an opportunity to make a real impact, working alongside a supportive team where your expertise will help shape successful outcomes.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in delivering financial and contractual excellence on major projects. Your day to day will include:

• Providing commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team, helping ensure that business targets and KPIs are exceeded
• Preparing monthly cost and value reports, reviewing results and considering trends with other contract team members
• Producing commercial reports and analysing trends with the wider team
• Managing physical measurement of works and reaching agreement with clients and subcontractors
• Overseeing certification and payment of subcontractor accounts, monitoring these against forecasts

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

• You hold a Full driving licence
• You're educated to Degree level, or have equivalent experience
• You have demonstrable experience within a similar role
• You have confident IT skills, particularly in MS Office and Excel
