Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. The role involves commercial and cost management across diverse projects from pre-construction to completion, within a collaborative project delivery environment.

The successful candidate will have a construction-related degree, a full driving licence, and experience in a contractor's commercial role, with familiarity across different contract forms. 45 hours per week with some flexibility.

We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Water Framework team based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire
Hours: 45 per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of construction projects within our Water Framework. Working closely with the project delivery team, you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through to successful project completion. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills whilst contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering contractual control and cost management across diverse projects. Your day to day will include:

• Working alongside the project delivery team to ensure contractual control and cost management of projects across different sectors
• Managing commercial aspects of subcontract accounts from procurement through to interim and final account agreement
• Being involved in final account negotiations to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Supporting projects throughout the full lifecycle with involvement across pre-construction through to project delivery
• Promoting wellbeing within your team and fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity is actively encouraged
