Job summary

Foster & May is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Leeds team. You will lead pre- and post-contract duties, manage costs and budgets, and handle valuations and accounts while supporting junior staff and nurturing client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a Quantity Surveying degree (or equivalent), ideally MRICS, with experience in PQS consultancy and in retail projects, and strong communication to run projects independently.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
• MRICS qualification is preferred.
• Experience in a PQS consultancy is essential.
• Retail sector experience is a bonus.
• Candidates should have strong communication skills and be able to manage projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead on pre- and post-contract duties including cost planning and budget management.
• Conduct valuations and compile accounts for projects.
• Support Junior Quantity Surveyors and maintain strong client relationships.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

A forward-thinking, established Quantity Surveying Consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their team in Leeds.

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will join a multi-disciplinary team who work together to deliver a mix of retail projects for high profile clients.

In this role, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will take the lead on both pre and post contract duties, overseeing cost planning, budget management, valuations, and accounts, while also supporting Junior Quantity Surveyors and maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Completed a Quantity Surveying degree or similar
• Ideally MRICS
• Experience working within a PQS Consultancy
• Experience within the Retail sector would be a bonus
• Strong communication skills
• Able to run a project independently
