Job summary

Foster & May Limited in Leeds is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our established team. You will support the delivery of retail projects from inception through to completion, assisting with cost plans, budgets, valuations and final accounts under guidance from senior QS.

You will gain exposure to pre- and post-contract stages, develop your MRICS/APC journey, and work within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary consultancy committed to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent required or pursued.
• MRICS/APC progress would be advantageous.
• Experience in a PQS consultancy preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost plans, budgets, valuations and final accounts.
• Support delivery of projects from inception to completion.
• Work on pre- and post-contract tasks alongside senior QS.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on retail schemes.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well-established and progressive Quantity Surveying Consultancy is looking to add an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their Leeds team.

Joining a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have the opportunity to work across a range of retail projects for several high-profile clients.

You will support the delivery of projects from inception through to completion, gaining experience across both pre and post-contract stages. Your responsibilities will include assisting with cost plans, budgets, valuations, variations and final accounts, while working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors to further develop your knowledge.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to broaden their experience and progress within an established consultancy.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Ideally working towards MRICS / APC
• Previous experience within a PQS Consultancy
• Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Comfortable working as part of a team
