This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join a dynamic team delivering a major construction project in Royston, UK. You'll play a key role in supporting the project's Managing QS, focusing on the shell & core/CSA elements of the £120 million project.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with the Managing QS in all aspects of commercial management for the designated project section.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and cost control procedures.
• Analyze and assess variations, claims, and contractual issues.
• Provide technical and commercial support during contract administration.
• Generate accurate and timely reports for project stakeholders.
• Liaise effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of project procurement strategies.
• Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the QS team.

What You'll Bring:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction environment.
• Proven experience in shell & core/CSA quantity surveying (M&E experience a bonus).
• Strong understanding of standard industry contracts (familiarity with the leading industry contract a plus).
• Excellent commercial acumen with a focus on cost control and value engineering.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant QS software (e.g., CCS, Aconex).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Confidence working on-site at Royston, with potential for future WFH flexibility.
