Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd in Manchester seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Project Lead to own the commercial success of a flagship project valued at £300m over a five-year duration. The role offers a prominent position within a reputable main contractor and oversees a talented commercial team on a landmark scheme.

You will report to directors, manage variations and cash flow, and ensure timely final accounts while mentoring junior staff and delivering value from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Main contractor background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commercially deliver the project from start through to completion.
• Report weekly and monthly to directors.
• Mentor members of the commercial team.
• Agree main contract sums and manage variations and claims.
• Manage project cash flow and prepare cost reports.
• Procure materials and subcontractors.
• Attend progress meetings with the client and project managers.
• Manage subcontractor payments and variations.
• Prepare final accounts.

Our client, a reputable main contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Manchester team and play a key role on a flagship project.

The scheme is a major flagship scheme with a value of £300m and an anticipated five-year duration. It’s a great opportunity to take commercial ownership of a landmark project while joining a contractor with an impressive pipeline of work.

• A main contractor background is benefical

Duties will include:

• Commercially delivering the project from the startthrough to completion
• Reporting weekly and monthly to the directors
• Mentoring members of the commercial team
• Agreeing main contract sums and managing variations and claims
• Managing project cash flow and preparing cost reports
• Procuring materials and subcontractors
• Attending progress meetings with the client and project managers
• Managing subcontractor payments and variations
• Preparing final accounts
