Job summary

V7 Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Manchester team and take commercial ownership of a flagship project valued at £300m with an anticipated five-year duration.

You will deliver the project commercially from start to completion, report to directors, mentor the commercial team and manage contract sums, variations, and cash flow on a high-profile scheme in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Main contractor background is beneficial.
• Experience delivering large-scale new-build projects.
• Degree or HNC-level qualification is desired.
• Strong commercial and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Commercially delivering the project from start to completion.
• Reporting weekly and monthly to the directors.
• Mentoring members of the commercial team.
• Agreeing main contract sums and managing variations and claims.
• Managing project cash flow and preparing cost reports.
• Procuring materials and subcontractors.
• Attending progress meetings with the client and project managers.
• Managing subcontractor payments and variations.
• Preparing final accounts.

Our client, a reputable main contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Manchester team and play a key role on a flagship project.

The scheme is a major flagship scheme with a value of £300m and an anticipated five-year duration. It's a great opportunity to take commercial ownership of a landmark project while joining a contractor with an impressive pipeline of work.
