Job summary

Octavius Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial performance of key highways projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful delivery.

This role offers hybrid working with a 3-day site/office and 2-day home working pattern, a competitive salary with car allowance, pension, private medical cover and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with highways/civil engineering/infrastructure experience.
• Strong commercial acumen with NEC contracts.
• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial reporting.
• Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience.
• Membership of, or working towards, RICS or CICES is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of multiple highways projects.
• Manage costs, forecasting, change control and contract administration.
• Maximise project profitability and cash performance.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks while driving opportunities.
• Produce CVRs, cost reports and monthly commercial forecasts.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.

We're seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of the commercial performance of key highways projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful delivery.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative commercial team, lead projects with autonomy, mentor others and play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure improvements.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the commercial management of multiple highways projects.
• Managing costs, forecasting, change control and contract administration.
• Maximising project profitability and cash performance.
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within highways, civil engineering or infrastructure.
