Job summary

Atheray Stone is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial performance of key highways projects, working with operations, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful delivery. The role offers autonomy to lead projects, mentor others and contribute to ongoing infrastructure improvements within a collaborative commercial team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within highways, civil engineering or infrastructure.
• Strong commercial acumen with NEC contract understanding.
• Experience managing subcontractors and commercial reporting.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Membership of, or working towards, RICS or CICES is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of multiple highways projects.
• Manage costs, forecasting, change control and contract administration.
• Maximise project profitability and cash performance.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks while driving opportunities.
• Produce CVRs, cost reports and monthly forecasts.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
• Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
