A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a major rail infrastructure project in London. This is a permanent, full-time role based on site.

Responsibilities:

• Administer NEC3 Option C contract, including early warnings and compensation events
• Write and manage Early Warning Notices and Compensation Event Notifications
• Manage and price changes and variations in line with contract terms
• Produce detailed cost forecasts and monthly CVRs
• Prepare internal and external financial reports, including profit and loss
• Submit applications for payment under NEC3 Option C
• Understand and apply the Schedule of Cost Components and identify Disallowed Costs
• Procure subcontractors and materials; manage subcontractor accounts
• Liaise with clients and project stakeholders on commercial matters

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering or rail sector
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with NEC3 Option C
• Proven ability to forecast costs, manage CVRs, and oversee financial reporting
• Confident in contract administration, change control, and payment processes
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Professional membership (e.g. RICS) preferred but not essential
• Must be able to work full-time on site in London (5 days per week)
