Job summary

Enable is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to lead a commercial team across a portfolio of projects and frameworks from pre-construction to final account. You will drive commercial management, maintain forecasts, and ensure proactive contract administration in line with IMS.

The role requires strong leadership, line-management experience, and a formal Quantity Surveying qualification, with RICS membership desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager.
• Proven line management and leadership qualities.
• RICS membership preferred.
• Experience in infrastructure construction.
• Experience with energy connections / HV / renewables advantageous.
• Strong commercial and contract management skills.
• Experience managing cost control, subcontractors, and reporting on multiple projects.
• Confident in client and project team engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial team to deliver effective commercial management of a portfolio of projects and frameworks from pre-construction to final account.
• Maintain accurate reports and forecasts in line with IMS.
• Create and utiliSe processes for proactive contract management, turnover, cost and cash forecasting, change and risk management, and periodic reporting.
• Line management and training of direct reports, representing the Commercial Team externally.

The role

Positive commercial strategisation and administration for our portfolio of projects is essential to ensure the effective delivery of successful results and management of key risks and opportunities. This role requires the leadership of a commercial team towards the effective commercial management of a portfolio of projects and frameworks from pre-construction to final account. This role will ensure the effective administration and management of the projects in line with the IMS, maintaining accurate reports and forecasts and will lead the creation and utilisation of a variety of processes which will ensure proactive contract management and administration, accurate turnover, cost and cash forecasting, change and risk management and periodic financial reporting. This role will involve line management and training of direct reports as well as representing the wider Commercial Team both in internal and external capacities.

What Are We Looking For

• Proven Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager
• Proven line management and leadership qualities
• Formal Quantity surveying qualification ideally degree level
• RICS membership
• Experience in Infrastructure construction
• Energy connections / HV / Renewables experience (advantageous)
• Strong commercial and contract management skills
• Experience managing cost control, subcontractors, and reporting on multiple projects
• Confident in client and project team engagement
