Job summary

Enable, the energy and infrastructure group, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial/Ops and pre-con team in Dundee. You should bring energy connections, renewables or power project experience and have strong experience in managing multi-million pound contracts.

The role emphasises proactive contract management, accurate turnover and cash forecasting, and clear reporting, with responsibility for leading a team across disciplines and engaging with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Formal quantity surveying qualification (ideally degree level).
• Experience in infrastructure construction (highways, rail, civil) preferred.
• Energy connections / HV / renewables experience advantageous.
• Experience managing cost control, subcontractors, and reporting on multiple projects.
• Ability to lead a team across disciplines and engage with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial strategies and administration for our portfolio of projects.
• Maintain reports and forecasts and manage turnover, cost and cash forecasting.
• Ensure proactive contract management and administration across projects.
• Manage risks and opportunities and provide periodic financial reporting.

Given recent project wins in the region and growth in the energy connections industry we are seeking to employ a Senior Quantity Surveyor or QS to join the commercial/Ops and pre-con team in Dundee. For this role you will ideally possess an energy connections, renewables or power background, however other infrastructure construction considered such as highways, rail, civil engineering with excellent commercial management skills controlling portfolios of multi-million pound construction contracts. Experience of leading a team of individuals at various stages of their careers, across multiple disciplines is required.

The role

Positive commercial strategisation and administration for our portfolio of projects is essential to ensure the effective delivery of successful results and management of key risks and opportunities.

The role will ensure the effective administration and management of the projects in line with the IMS, maintaining accurate reports and forecasts and will lead the creation and utilisation of a variety of processes which will ensure proactive contract management and administration, accurate turnover, cost and cash forecasting, change and risk management and periodic financial reporting.

What Are We Looking For

• Proven Quantity Surveyor
• Formal Quantity surveying qualification ideally degree level
• RICS membership
• Experience in Infrastructure construction
• Energy connections / HV / Renewables experience (advantageous)
• Strong commercial and contract management skills
• Experience managing cost control, subcontractors, and reporting on multiple projects
• Confident in client and project team engagement
