Are you a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in the utilities or civil engineering sectors? We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking client for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team in the UK water industry.

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and be responsible for the Commercial Management of Project(s).

Key Responsibilities Include

• Quantity surveying duties managing projects and work packages
• Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to control costs
• Collaborating with the client to meet business requirements
• Managing the main contract, including contractual notices and correspondence
• Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
• Managing and developing subcontractors
• Managing applications for payment
• Preparing project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Supporting the development of junior commercial staff
• Maintaining industry knowledge through external networking and conferences
• Providing professional and positive communication internally and externally
• Ensuring confidentiality and undertaking additional duties as required

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification
• Working towards or holding chartered membership of a recognized institution
• Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors
• NEC3 experience

Desirable

• Experience managing or developing a team or individual
