Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Kent

Are you a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in the utilities or civil engineering sectors? We are recruiting on behalf of a respected and forward-thinking client for a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team in the UK water industry.

You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for the Commercial Management of Project(s).

Key responsibilities will include:

• Quantity surveying duties related to managing projects and work packages
• Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs
• Collaborating with the client to meet business requirements
• Managing the main contract, ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary
• Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
• Assisting in the management and performance of subcontractors
• Managing the preparation and agreement of payment applications
• Preparing project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Assisting in the development of junior commercial staff
• Continuously developing professional skills through external networking, conferences, and associations
• Maintaining a positive, solution-oriented work approach with honest feedback
• Performing additional duties, training, or hours as reasonably required
• Representing the department professionally in all contacts and maintaining positive relationships
• Ensuring confidentiality at all times

About The Candidate:
