Job summary

A leading construction firm seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to enhance their commercial team in Bristol. You will manage cost aspects from land procurement through to project completion on diverse residential sites, supported by strong package procurement and contractor assessment processes. Candidates should have substantial Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within residential development settings and a relevant qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience working for a Residential Developer for at least 3 years.
• Residential build experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide Cost Management for assigned developments from Land Procurement to completion.
• Manage cost/change control and project reporting documentation.
• Assess contractor competency and procure packages.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their well-established business and commercial team.

You will be responsible for providing the business with Cost Management for assigned developments from Land Procurement to the completion of Final Accounts. You will be responsible for a couple of residential build sites varying in size and build method, ranging in units.

• Package procurement based on robust and thorough processes including;

• Cost/ change control and monitoring

• Measurement, estimating, cost exercises and benchmarking

• Working with the company’s bespoke Contract

• Reviewing and assessing contractor competency

• Assisting with monthly cost, project reporting and associated documentation

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a minimum of roughly 5 years Quantity Surveying experience

• A minimum of HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying

• Must have worked for a Residential Developer for at least 3 years

• Must have residential build experience

• Must be able to demonstrate job loyalty

• Basic salary of up to £75,000 (depending on experience)
