A leading Building Surveying and Cost Consultancy firm is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Bristol office.
You will be responsible for providing comprehensive project management services, acting as employer's agent, and delivering quantity surveying services to clients across various sectors. Additionally, you will support and advise other members of the Quantity Surveying Department.
Provide professional project management, employer’s agent, and quantity surveying services, including developing client requirements, advising on professional team selection, reviewing design proposals, preparing master schedules, establishing communication procedures, advising on tendering, and managing project documentation and meetings. Oversee the construction period, conduct inspections, issue completion certificates, and monitor defect rectification. From a cost perspective, handle cost planning, tender documentation, on-site valuations, and payments.
Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to ensure successful project implementation and completion.
Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business opportunities.
Enhance knowledge and skills through CPD activities, staying updated on legislation affecting quantity surveying, and sharing knowledge as appropriate.
Attend meetings with other company departments to support duties and business development.
Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expenses, and database updates accurately and timely.
Follow procedures for the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
Adhere to health and safety, and quality management policies.
