Nicholas Associates Group is recruiting a Senior Quality Inspector for the Machining & Fabrication department in UK manufacturing facilities. You will lead the inspection team and work with the quality manager to maintain first‑class quality in a high‑precision environment.

The role offers a permanent contract with a basic salary of £42,932 per year plus overtime. Working hours are Mon-Thu 7:30–16:30 and Fri 7:30–14:00, with 33 days holidays and 13 weeks sick pay.

• Ability to measure and inspect detailed machined and fabricated parts.
• Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience with FAIRS/first article inspection reports.

• Salary: £35855 - £42932 per annum + + OT = earnings of £45k and upwards

The basics:

• Job Title: Senior Quality Inspector - Machining & Fabrication department.
• Position: Permanent
• Basic salary: up to £21.17 per hour / £42,932 per annum basic + overtime paid at 1.5 Monday to Saturday.
• Hours: Monday-Thursday (7.30am-4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-2.00pm)
• Holidays/Benefits: 33 days, 13 weeks company sick pay, company pensions

Overview

Working within first class purpose built manufacturing facilities we now require a Quality Inspector to lead the inspection team. You will be tasked to lead a team of quality inspectors whilst working closely with the quality manager to maintain first class quality in this high precision manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate / Senior Quality Inspector may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:

• Ability to measure and inspect detailed machined and fabricated parts
• Must be able to interpret detailed engineering drawings
• Ability to use and program CMM machinery
• Experienced in FAIRS/first article inspection reports

Location: Alfreton, Heanor, Clay Cross, Hucknall and surrounding areas
