Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a committed Quality Inspector in Essex to join our precision engineering team. The role involves inspecting incoming and outgoing products, performing visual and dimensional checks, and maintaining accurate documentation to meet customer and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will read technical drawings, use metrology equipment (verniers, micrometers, Faro arm, CMM) and contribute to root cause analysis of NCRs, while supporting calibration needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working as a Quality Inspector in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Experience of working to recognised quality standards is essential.
• Experience of safety critical quality standards is very much preferred - TS16949, AS9100, ISO13485 or very similar.
• Able to read and understand technical data including drawings, specifications etc.
• Able to use metrology equipment - verniers, micrometers, Faro arm, CMM etc.

No, the role is site based 5 days per week 8 am to 4 pm

Role

• Inspection of incoming products, goods and components
• Inspection of outgoing products, goods and components
• Visual inspection
• Dimensional measurements and tolerances
• Documentation checks, and maintenance of all required records, checklists and documentation to comply with company, customer and legal requirements
• Assisting with root cause analysis of NCRs
• Support all calibration requirements

About You
