Job summary

Lendable is hiring two Senior Quality Engineers to establish a Quality Engineering department alongside a new Head of Quality. The role focuses on automation-first testing, AI-assisted quality, and cross-team collaboration to lift the overall quality bar as the company expands in the UK and US.

You will write code for AI agents, test frameworks, CI tooling, and necessary helpers, while working with software engineers, product and design to enable teams to improve quality processes through

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quality engineering or test automation, with a track record of keeping automated suites stable
• Experience in scaled engineering with multiple teams and driving quality improvements
• Hands-on coding with test code, frameworks, CI pipelines and helper scripts
• API and contract testing experience, with test data and environment strategy
• Set up and used Service Level Objectives to define reliability and drive improvements
• Native AI-assisted working style with projects where AI changed how you worked
• Coaching others in quality and improving test practices across teams
• Experience shaping CI/CD pipelines for test reliability (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Proactive, low-ego communicator who can drive improvements end-to-end
• 3-4 projects showing measurable quality improvements

Responsibilities

• Rotate around product teams to level up quality
• Evolve the pragmatic test pyramid and decide where E2E testing belongs
• Make coverage, reliability, and speed trade-offs across products
• Devise performance benchmarks to prevent regressions
• Speed up SDLC by building AI agents for exploratory testing
• Use AI tools to speed up test authoring, failure triage, and coverage insights
• Build reliable end-to-end automation and ensure environments are reliable
• Partner with product and engineering on shift-left quality and observe SLAs
• Run targeted exploratory testing on high-risk releases
