Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an experienced Quality Leader to drive governance and product safety across the site in the UK. You will lead a QA/QC team, manage customer complaints, investigate issues, and implement CAPA to sustain high quality and compliance.

You will partner with production and support functions to maintain QMS, SOPs and procedures, ensuring adherence to GMP and accreditation standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior quality role.
• Experience with GMP and Industry standards.
• Manufacturing/production environment experience is preferred.
• Demonstrable experience leading change and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support quality governance and site leadership in product safety and compliance.
• Lead quality meetings, provide KPI insights, and support decision making.
• Review and maintain quality systems, SOPs, and policies to meet customer/standard requirements.
• Manage customer complaints, conduct investigations, and implement CAPA.
• Lead the QA/QC team and develop staff capabilities in quality improvement.
• Engage with customers for technical service and quality assurance.
• Drive improvements to meet customer specs while maximizing production efficiency.
• Promote a total quality culture and right-first-time mindset.
• Oversee audits and ensure conformance to accreditation standards.
