Job summary

DWP Digital has a Senior QA Tester role to shape the quality of digital telephony services used by millions. You'll lead testing across complex Contact Centre platforms in an agile team, defining test strategies and embedding best practice to ensure reliable, secure releases.

You'll drive manual and automated testing, champion non-functional testing, foster a shift-left culture, and contribute to the wider testing community within DWP Digital and government services.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in testing Contact Centre telephony platforms.
• Strong knowledge of telephony testing tools, techniques and methodologies.
• Demonstrable capability in delivering test automation within a Contact Centre environment.
• Strong understanding of maintaining traceability between requirements, tests and defects.
• Proven capability in planning and delivering non-functional testing, including performance, scalability, resilience, accessibility and operational acceptance testing.
• Ability to provide strategic testing leadership, shaping quality practices across product teams and the wider testing community.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing activities across complex Contact Centre platforms, defining test strategies and embedding best practice.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers and stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and resilient services.
• Utilize a blend of manual testing, test automation, functional and non-functional testing to identify risks early and improve delivery confidence.
• Support the wider testing community within DWP Digital and promote a shift-left approach to quality engineering.
