Job summary

Cboe Europe is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer in London to join a small, skilled development team building and expanding batch functionality for the largest equities exchange in Europe.

You will design and build highly reliable Python systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and participate in R&D projects to identify new technologies. Strong testing culture and a commitment to quality are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid Python knowledge and ability to design reliable, testable systems.
• Experience with SQL and Linux in production environments.
• Familiarity with algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with TDD/BDD or testing methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Snowflake is a plus.
• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django, Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka and data pipelines like Airflow.
• Knowledge of Java and financial domains is a plus.
