Job summary

Cboe Europe in London, UK, seeks a Senior Python Software Engineer to build and expand the batch functionality of the largest equities exchange in Europe.

You will design reliable, testable Python systems to support trading operations and participate in R&D projects with a global development team. A degree in Computer Science is preferred, with strong Linux and SQL skills and experience in modern web frameworks.

Qualifications

• Solid Python knowledge and ability to write maintainable, testable code.
• Strong Linux skills and experience with SQL techniques.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Experience with testing methodologies (TDD/BDD) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Django/Flask/FastAPI, Kafka and Airflow is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building highly reliable, testable Python systems for trading operations.
• Collaborating with business development and sales to develop new products and features.
• Participating in R&D projects to identify promising technologies.
• Providing production support for trading systems and contributing to post-mortems.
