Job summary

Selby Jennings is assisting a technology-driven trading firm to hire a Python Software Engineer in London. The role collaborates with traders, quantitative researchers and engineers to build business-critical trading systems, real-time pricing, execution and risk management.

You will design, build and enhance production-grade Python applications, aiming for low latency, high reliability and scalability. The successful candidate will own key projects and work closely with front-office

Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting production systems on Linux.
• Strong testing, reliability and maintainability practices.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electronic trading or high-performance tech environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining production-grade Python applications.
