Job summary

Cboe Europe in London offers a unique hybrid engineering role combining automated testing excellence with build and release ownership. You will work closely with the global builds team to modernise delivery pipelines and ensure reliable, fast deployments across trading platforms.

The role emphasizes designing robust test automation in Python, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and acting as the London-based point of contact for build activities. A strong CS/Engineering background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong programming experience in Python with production-quality code.
• Proven experience designing automated test frameworks and test infrastructure.
• Experience in CI/CD environments with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Version control experience with Git.
• Linux/Unix proficiency and shell scripting.
• SQL experience (PostgreSQL preferred) and familiarity with databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests, frameworks, and test infrastructure.
• Extend and improve our Python-based test automation framework.
• Create detailed test docs and plans for new features.
• Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes.
• Perform root cause analysis on test failures and system issues.
• Maintain test environments and CI pipelines for stability and green status.
• Contribute to and improve CI/CD pipelines and dashboards.
• Lead build and release initiatives from London in collaboration with the US team.
• Develop scripts/tools to support build, test, and release activities.
• Advocate improvements to build processes and modernisation efforts.
