Job summary

Selby Jennings is hiring a Python Software Engineer for a London trading technology team. You will design, build and enhance production-grade Python applications supporting trading, market data, risk and workflows, working closely with traders and researchers.

You will own projects from design to deployment in a fast-paced environment, delivering scalable, low-latency systems and collaborating with front-office stakeholders to improve functionality.

Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting production systems on Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, reliability and maintainability.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to development.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience within electronic trading, quantitative finance or other high-performance technology environments.
