Job summary

Fundment Limited is seeking a Senior Python Engineer to design, develop, and optimise our innovative solutions. You will drive technical execution, mentor developers, and ensure our platform remains scalable, reliable, and secure. Role collaborates with operations, investments, client services, sales, and finance.

Requirements include 8+ years in software development with at least 4 years Python, plus experience mentoring. Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in the Fitzrovia office in London.

Qualifications

• At least 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Minimum 4 years of Python experience.
• Experience in Financial Services/regulatory environments beneficial.
• Proficiency in an additional programming language (e.g. C++, Java).
• Proven track record delivering scalable production systems.
• Experience mentoring and leading developers.
• Strong knowledge of version control, testing, CI, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Own key platform components, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with non-technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Maintain high code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Lead the investigation and resolution of production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Deliver high-quality solutions on time with a clear development workflow.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing to promote learning.
