Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Senior PWP) to join the Talking Therapies Liverpool service on a part-time secondment. The role supports the step 2 leadership team and provides guidance to the step 2 workforce to meet patient needs across Talking Therapies Liverpool.

The candidate will work with Team Leads and PWPs, delivering low-intensity CBT, group and individual interventions, and contributing to service development,

Qualifications

• Essential degree in mental health (e.g. Psychology).
• Specific Low Intensity Worker / PWP qualification or equivalent.
• Registration with BABCP or BPS required.

Responsibilities

• Support Talking Therapies KPIs with focus on recovery.
• Develop Step 2 provision in a high pressure environment.
• Hold a reduced low-intensity caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions.
• Be familiar with diverse cultural backgrounds and ages; use interpreters when necessary; promote equal opportunities.
• Develop, support and deliver training in innovative practice to Step 2 practitioners and other workers.
• Lead on core tasks within Step 2 development across Talking Therapies Liverpool service.
• Develop links with Primary and Secondary Care and non-statutory organisations; work with minority groups.
• Provide clinical case management, potential line management, and supervision to PWPs and trainees.
• Lead on nominated core tasks such as courses, trainees, recovery, CBT.
