Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Band 6) for Talking Therapies Liverpool. The role is part-time (22.5 hours per week) based in South Liverpool, with evening work possible. Salary £39,959 - £48,117 per annum, pro rata.

The post focuses on step 2 leadership, supporting the team, and delivering low-intensity CBT interventions within Talking Therapies Liverpool. Part-time secondment opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• A degree related to Mental Health (e.g., Psychology).
• Low Intensity Worker / Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner qualification.
• Registration with BABCP or BPS.
• Training in a High Intensity Modality.
• Qualification or experience in professional supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the Step 2 provision within a high-pressured environment.
• Hold a reduced low intensity caseload and deliver evidence-based interventions to clients in one-to-one and group settings.
• Be familiar with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and be committed to equal opportunities.
• Develop, support and deliver training in innovative practice to Step 2 practitioners, and other workers qualified to act in Low Intensity worker roles.
• To lead on nominated core tasks which could include courses, trainees, recovery, CBT.
