Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Band 6) for its Talking Therapies service in Northampton. The role focuses on supervising and developing clinicians, managing busy caseloads, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care including assessments and structured interventions such as groups and computerised CBT (SilverCloud).

You will help at the front door within the assessment and triage function, using clinical judgement

Qualifications

• Postgraduate cert/diploma in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions.
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a senior PWP role providing supervision or staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality supervision, support, and wellbeing focus for staff delivering assessments within the service.
• Offer expert clinical support and guidance to Step 2 staff.
• Ensure National Talking Therapies standards are met.
• Contribute to learning and development of PWP, Assistant Psychologists, Mental Health Support Practitioners and peer supporters.
• Provide clinical intervention at step 2 for common mental health problems, supporting groups and webinars.
• Support staff to deliver quality assessments, treatment and support to people accessing the service.
