Job summary

Mace is seeking a senior technical assurance professional to lead design delivery for public health projects in the UK. You will manage teams, coordinate across disciplines and ensure designs meet contract requirements with a strong focus on sustainability and carbon reduction.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors, oversee tender processes and drive value engineering while maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering public health building services design
• Ability to produce Public Health designs including water services, sanitary plumbing and drainage
• Understanding of RIBA stages, health & safety, cost control and value engineering
• Experience with tendering, feasibility studies and reports for client sign-off

Responsibilities

• Manage deliverables through self and direct reports
• Develop and manage designs in line with contract requirements
• Collaborate with design disciplines, client teams and construction teams
• Produce reporting information for stakeholders
• Attend client meetings and design workshops
• Oversee training, appraisals and career development of staff
• Advance C2P, digital and net zero carbon initiatives within projects
• Lead tender responses and manage tender processes to contract award
• Produce feasibility reports and employer's requirements documents
• Review contractor proposals and monitor site quality during construction
