Job summary
Arup is hiring a Public Health Building Services Engineer to join our Bristol or Cardiff team. You will lead MEP design across a portfolio of projects, mentor junior staff and collaborate with specialists in building physics, sustainability, energy, carbon and BIM.
The role emphasizes net-zero design and client engagement throughout feasibility to completion. You will work within a multidisciplinary network, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with standards, and a proactive approach to
Qualifications
- Degree in engineering with Chartered Engineer status or actively progressing toward chartership.
- Experience in public health building services design including domestic water systems, gas systems and drainage.
- Knowledge of BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD; ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the MEP design on diverse projects at local, national and international levels.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior colleagues.
- Engage with clients on fees and commercial matters while ensuring project delivery.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable design within schedule and budget.
- Support digital transformation and automation efforts in design and delivery processes.
