Job summary

SmartSourcing Ltd is seeking a Senior Public Health Engineer to join a client in a 6-month contract, hybrid in London, with an Umbrella arrangement. You will lead technical assurance and review of Public Health building services designs across the Restoration and Renewal Programme, ensuring compliance with standards, statutory obligations and heritage constraints, while providing timely advice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Public Health Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent.
• Experience in Public Health building services design.
• Sound knowledge of UK regulations, standards and industry best practice.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
• Sound engineering judgement and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Experienced and proficient in the use of digital delivery and coordination tools, including Aconex, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Ability to work proactively and effectively within a fast-paced multidisciplinary Programme environment.
• Experience of assuring designs produced by others (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Lead technical assurance and review of Public Health Engineering designs across the Restoration and Renewal Programme.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary technical team to independently assess consultant-produced designs to ensure compliance with programme requirements, statutory obligations, applicable standards and heritage constraints.
• Provide clear technical challenge, timely advice and practical recommendations within a fast-paced programme environment.
