Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Public Health Engineer to lead the design of Public Health and Fire Protection systems on a broad range of projects. This predominantly office-based role offers hybrid working options and coverage across London and other UK offices to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will mentor staff, manage small multi-disciplinary projects, coordinate information with Architects and Design Consultants, and ensure designs comply with QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Public health engineering experience in design consultancy or related field.
• Solid knowledge of statutory regulations and approvals processes.
• Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
• Experience across mixed-use, residential, commercial and healthcare buildings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks for design coordination.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain client relationships and lead project communication.
• Mentor and develop junior staff within the PH team.
• Project manage small multi-disciplinary PH projects from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate with Architects, QS and Design Consultants for fully coordinated design.
• Ensure design teams are kept informed and aligned with QA procedures.
• Input and support BIM processes using Revit and related tools.
• Represent AECOM at meetings and support tender responses.
• Adhere to Project Management Plans and schedules.
• Support safety, health and environmental policy implementation.
