Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Engineer to generate Protection Engineering drawings and documents in line with internal and customer design specifications, while meeting programme, budget, quality, health and safety requirements.

You will lead the production and approval of detailed design packages, technical specifications and design risk assessments, coordinating with multiple departments and attending site and client meetings to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Qualified with HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Electricity Transmission and Distribution, including UK Transmission System.
• Knowledge of latest Transmission and Distribution standards for Protection Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Production / Approval of Protection Engineering Detailed Design Packages
• Production / Approval of Engineering Technical Specifications
• Production / Approval of Design Risk Assessments
• Maintain the design change control process on associated schemes
• Provide timely responses to non-conformances raised through the NCR+ process
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve interdisciplinary issues
• Attend site meetings to advise construction staff on site related issues
• Attend Technical Meetings with Client, site or office based, to ensure Client satisfaction
• Gain product knowledge and site knowledge through visits to UK sites and German factories
• Provide tendering support when required
• Coordinate with Technology team on design issues to facilitate Type Registration including design approval
