Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a Lead P&C Project Engineer for a major infrastructure project in Scotland. You will provide protection and control engineering support across multiple projects, defining technical scope during development and evaluating third-party designs as delivery proceeds to panel and scheme designs.

The role involves configuring protection and control equipment, calculating protection settings, and reviewing third-party factory acceptance tests.

Qualifications

• HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in transmission protection and control specification, panel and scheme design, and protection settings calculation.
• Ability to demonstrate engineering diligence and to assess problems and choose among solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection and control engineering support across multiple projects, defining the technical scope during development.
• Evaluate third-party detailed designs as the project moves into delivery, focusing on panel and scheme designs.
• Configure protection and control equipment according to the application and scheme requirements, including protection settings calculations.
• Support multi-disciplinary project teams in identifying engineering risks and opportunities, and contribute to digital design capabilities and standardisation.
