Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Property Manager to lead the management of its multi-site property portfolio, including freehold and leasehold interests, licences to occupy, wayleaves and easements. You will protect the Trust’s legal and financial positions and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

You will oversee lease renewals and rent reviews, negotiate with landlords, tenants, agents and valuers, and manage space planning across the estate while deputising

Qualifications

• Degree level education in estate management, valuation, surveying or related discipline.
• Chartered membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or working towards chartered status with clear timeline.
• Significant experience managing a large, complex multi-site property portfolio.
• Experience leading lease renewals and rent reviews; negotiating with landlords, tenants, agents and valuers.
• Experience negotiating licences to occupy, wayleaves and easements.
• Experience managing external professional advisors (solicitors, agents, valuers).
• Experience line-managing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Trust's portfolio of freehold and leasehold property interests and maintain an up-to-date property and asset register.
• Lead on lease renewals and rent reviews, negotiating with tenants, landlords, agents and valuers to protect financial and legal position.
• Negotiate, prepare and manage licences to occupy for third-party occupiers and Trust premises; manage wayleave agreements and easements.
• Provide assurance on statutory and regulatory property requirements; oversee space planning and utilisation across the estate.
• Deputise for the Director of Capital Development as required and manage external professional advisors.
