Job summary

AIG is seeking a Senior Property Underwriter to grow its property portfolio in the North of the UK. You will develop risk transfer solutions for mid to large corporate property clients, working within the P&C team in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will focus on underwriting new and renewal business, expanding broker relationships and ensuring adherence to underwriting standards while driving profitable growth for the commercial property product.

Qualifications

• Commercial property underwriting experience.
• Technical insurance knowledge including reinsurance concepts.
• Experience building and expanding broker networks.
• Ability to interpret policy wordings and negotiate terms.
• Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to contribute to regional property portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Commercial Property & Casualty business to support profitable growth.
• Develop and manage a mid-to-large corporate property portfolio in the UK North region.
• Collaborate with brokers, clients and internal teams to achieve objectives.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and authority limits while seeking improvements.
• Improve processes and contribute to a culture of initiative and responsibility.
