Job summary

American International Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Property Underwriter to grow our Commercial Property portfolio in the UK North region. You will underwrite new and renewal business, develop risk transfer solutions for mid to large corporate clients, and work with regional brokers to expand our broker network.

You will join a high-performing team, contribute to growth initiatives, and operate within AIG’s underwriting standards to deliver value for clients and the business.

Qualifications

• Commercial property underwriting experience with technical insurance knowledge.
• Desire to develop property underwriting capability including reinsurance and multinational programmes.
• Experience with regional brokers and expanding broker networks.
• Ability to understand policy wordings and work in a multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business to support profitable growth of the Commercial Property product.
• Develop and grow the middle-market portfolio; build visibility with brokers and clients.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other areas in AIG to achieve corporate objectives.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines, decision-making authorities and continuous process improvements.
