Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to lead programme and commercial management across UK locations including London, Reading, Brighton, Birmingham. The role involves delivering complex projects in a regulated environment and managing budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

You will work within the Advisory and Programme Delivery unit, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring governance and successful project outcomes while supporting a hybrid working

Qualifications

• APM or Prince 2 qualification.
• Full Membership or working towards full membership of a relevant chartered body (MAPM, MCIWEM, MICE, etc).
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartership (ChPP).
• Substantial project management experience across high risk, high complexity, high value projects with strong stakeholder management and risk focus.
• Accountability for expenditure and out-turn cost including governance and change control.
• Proven track record of managing projects within Water and Environment Sector.
• Proven experience managing NEC contracts or similar contract arrangements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills to build high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project risk and opportunities with identification, allocation and mitigation.
• Be accountable for the project’s commercial objectives and ensure timely reporting to required standards.
• Deliver complex technical projects within a highly regulated industry.
• Maintain excellent communications with the client and programme team.
• Be responsible for the project programme and update it with multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Ensure the effective close-out of projects and contract closure.
• Control internal and external commercial aspects across varied contract arrangements.
