Cotswold Archaeology is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead high-profile fieldwork projects in Kemble. You will oversee teams, ensure on-time delivery, quality records and publication-ready outputs, and liaise with clients and authorities.

The role requires strong leadership, budget control, and publication-writing ability, with a focus on safety and professional accreditation. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Formación

• Experience supervising large fieldwork and desk-based projects.
• Ability to write reports to publication standard.
• Ability to manage budgets and timescales within commercial archaeology.
• Full manual driving licence essential; ability to drive company vehicles.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the delivery of projects on time, budget, quality and health & safety.
• Develop staff through training, coaching and mentoring.
• Ensure quality of archaeological records and archives, and prepare publications.
• Liaise with sponsors, clients and Local Government officers to maintain good relations.
• Prepare risk assessments and support pre-project planning and site logistics.
