Job summary

Archangel Lightworks, a laser communications company in Oxford, seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee R&D and production-facing projects across multiple optical domains. Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full-lifecycle product development experience in hardware and/or software within an R&D-heavy organisation.
• Familiarity with stage-gate development processes and product development cycles.
• Experience in stakeholder management with commercial and quasi-governmental bodies.
• Experience with project finance control from forecasts to audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned product developments and projects to scope, timeline and budget; collaborate with PM and Engineering teams.
• Translate technical requirements into clear project scopes and plans with the engineering team.
• Work with Technical Leads to ensure alignment of development plans with backlogs and controls.
• Identify and manage project risks and interdependencies affecting timelines and cross-functional work streams.
• Monitor and forecast finances; provide inputs into programmes and company financial tracking.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
• Coordinate with the PM team to align the development portfolio.
• Participate in formal documentation review and change control processes.
