Job summary

Wates Property Services in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major planned maintenance contract for a social housing client. You will take overall responsibility for project performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will be a visible, proactive leader, capable of managing multiple workstreams while driving operational excellence across the contract.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planned maintenance projects within occupied social housing properties.
• Proven experience managing multiple streams of work simultaneously.
• Strong leadership experience, including management of Site Managers and operational teams.
• Demonstrable experience handling project escalations and stakeholder management.
• Solid understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and support a team of Site Managers and operational staff.
• Manage multiple workstreams and programmes concurrently.
• Take ownership of operational performance, contract delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor programme, quality and health & safety performance.
• Manage escalations, risks and project challenges with effective resolutions.
• Build strong relationships with residents, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support commercial performance and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
• Produce project reports, programme updates and performance metrics.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
