Wates Property Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major social housing planned maintenance programme on Canvey Island, Essex. You will own delivery of a £20m contract within a 10-year framework, coordinating multiple workstreams across occupied properties.

The role requires strong organisation, leadership and commercial acumen, with SMSTS and a full UK driving licence being essential.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in social housing planned maintenance.
• Strong track record delivering refurbishment and property improvements.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams within occupied environments.
• Excellent organisation, planning and programme management skills.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
• SMSTS qualification (essential).
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for successful delivery of the contract from mobilisation to completion.
• Manage planned maintenance and refurbishment programmes across multiple workstreams.
• Oversee works including windows, doors, roofing, kitchens and bathrooms.
• Lead site management teams and subcontractors; manage programme performance, budgets and resources.
• Monitor health & safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Produce and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure excellent communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
