Job summary

Wates Property Services seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead a major planned maintenance contract for a social housing client in the UK. You will oversee project performance, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards, while guiding multiple workstreams across the contract.

You will lead Site Managers and operational staff, monitor programme and safety performance, manage risks and escalations, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead site teams and drive operational excellence.
• Experience delivering planned maintenance in occupied social housing.
• Strong risk, issue and escalation management with proactive resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Leading, developing and supporting a team of Site Managers and operational staff.
• Managing multiple workstreams and programmes simultaneously.
• Taking ownership of operational performance, contract delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitoring programme, quality and health & safety performance.
• Managing escalations, risks and project challenges while driving effective resolutions.
• Building strong relationships with residents, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting commercial performance and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
• Producing project reports, programme updates and performance metrics.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Experience delivering planned maintenance projects within occupied social housing properties.
• Proven experience managing multiple streams of work simultaneously.
• Strong leadership experience, including the management of Site Managers, supervisors and operational teams.
• Demonstrable experience handling project escalations, problem-solving and stakeholder management.
• Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance and quality requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Managing a contract currently valued at £12.5 million
• Leading an established operational team consisting of 5 Site Managers and 1 Section Manager.
