Zusammenfassung

WSP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead onshore renewable energy projects across the UK, focusing on wind and repowering. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through development, detailed design, procurement, construction and commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, client engagement and a deep understanding of project lifecycles, procurement and regulatory processes; hybrid working with UK offices is available.

Qualifikationen

• Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation desirable.
• Project management qualifications such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP would be beneficial.
• Experience delivering renewable energy infrastructure projects, particularly onshore wind developments.
• Proven experience managing projects through development, design, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of onshore renewable energy lifecycles, risks and stakeholder requirements.
• Experience administering contracts such as NEC / FIDIC.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets, change control and financial performance.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultants.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety requirements.

Aufgaben

• Lead the delivery of renewable energy projects from feasibility to construction and operation.
• Manage project scope, programme, budget, risk, quality, safety and commercial performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, structural, environmental, planning and grid specialists.
• Manage interfaces with clients, landowners, planning authorities, statutory bodies and contractors.
• Act as primary client contact and provide strategic project leadership.
• Support site selection, optioneering, feasibility studies and consenting strategies.
• Lead procurement activities including Employer's Requirements and tender evaluations.
• Administer and manage engineering and construction contracts.
• Oversee construction activities ensuring contractual and technical compliance.
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain governance, reporting, forecasting and change control processes.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
• Mentor junior project managers and staff; promote delivery excellence.
