Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead onshore renewable energy projects across the UK, with emphasis on wind and repowering. You will steer development, design, procurement, and construction while guiding multidisciplinary teams and ensuring safe, on-time delivery within budget.

You will act as a trusted client advisor, coordinate stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in project management practices across the renewables sector.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent accreditation desirable.
• Project management qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP would be beneficial.
• Experience delivering renewable energy infrastructure projects, particularly onshore wind developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of renewable energy projects from feasibility to construction and operation.
• Manage scope, programme, budget, risk, quality, and safety with commercial performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across civil, electrical, environmental, planning, and grid specialists.
• Act as primary client contact, providing strategic project leadership and advice.
• Oversee procurement, contracting, and contract administration for engineering and construction.
• Support development activities including site selection, feasiblity studies and consenting strategies.
• Mentor and develop junior project managers and technical staff.
