WSP UK & Ireland seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of onshore renewable energy projects across the UK, with a focus on wind and repowering. You will manage multidisciplinary teams through feasibility, design, procurement, construction and handover, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while guiding clients with strategic leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent accreditation desirable.
• PM qualification such as APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent beneficial.
• Experience delivering renewable energy infrastructure projects, onshore wind developments.
• Proven experience managing projects through development, design, procurement and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of onshore renewable energy lifecycles, risks and stakeholder requirements.
• Knowledge of consenting and grid connection processes for renewables would be beneficial.
• Experience administering engineering and construction contracts, including FIDIC/NEC.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and change control.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and consultants.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations, health and safety requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Responsabilités

• Lead the delivery of renewable energy projects from feasibility through to construction and operation.
• Manage scope, programme, budget, risk, quality, H&S and commercial performance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil, electrical, structural, environmental, planning and grid specialists.
• Maintain interfaces with clients, landowners, planning authorities, contractors and regulators.
• Act as primary client contact and provide strategic project leadership.
• Support development activities including site selection and consenting strategies.
• Lead procurement including tender docs, evaluations and contract awards.
• Administer and manage engineering and construction contracts.
• Oversee construction activities ensuring contractual and technical compliance.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities across the lifecycle.
• Maintain governance, reporting, forecasting and change management processes.
• Support business development and client engagement.
• Mentor junior project managers and technical staff.
• Contribute to process improvements across renewables.
