Job summary

Kier Group in Manchester seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle delivery of a large library project for Manchester Metropolitan University. You will drive safety, budget, schedule and quality, empowering the team to excel from pre-construction through delivery.

The role requires substantial Tier 1 construction experience, strong client liaison skills, and expertise in NEC/JCT contracts. Based in Manchester with full-time hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in leading Tier 1 construction projects.
• Experience managing project budgets and programmes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to produce reports.
• Knowledge of NEC or JCT contract delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-construction phase with design, planning and commercial teams to maintain the programme.
• Oversee delivery on site, guiding teams to meet operational and commercial goals within budget and schedule.
• Implement Kier Health and Safety policies across all employees and subcontractors.
• Act as the client point of contact and build relationships with external bodies.
• Identify risks and opportunities and coordinate with functional teams to mitigate.
